Fisherman Boat Neck Snap Shoulder Shirt – Black/Metallic Stripe

Woburn Walk presents a series of fisherman style shirts. This piece features a snapped button closure on the left shoulder, finished with two side pockets for storage and comfort and a small pocket on the left arm. It is finished with a striking metallic stripe design crosses the torso.

The Fisherman design derives and is inspired by the functional clothing worn by fishermen whilst working on their boats. The shoulder pocket and hand warmer pockets on the sides of the body are classic features, that also differ from other cut-and-sew items and are its most highlighted characteristics. Furthermore, the design continues with its unique hem cut, the silhouette when worn is carefully considered in regard to the garments drape, along with the high level of decoration around the neck. The snap shoulder performs an opening, that is inserted into the fabric to add breadth or reduce stress from a tight-fit. The metallic stripe print takes form as our interpretation.

The snap shoulder buttons, however, continues to be a forward design element evoking nostalgic, romantic, or nautical associations.
